Every week, a huge number of unsuspecting land/building buyers in Nigeria hand over millions of naira to land sellers and real estate companies and walk away thinking they now own land.
Sadly, many later discover that what they bought was either Government-acquired land, family/community land under dispute or property already sold to many buyers. Why? Because they relied solely on an estate agent’s word without involving a Property Lawyer.
